Where – When
living in St. Louis, her home town, she was directing/managing for Changes Salon
and Spa while subcontracting as a Motivational Speaker and Instructor with
Farouk Systems LLC based out of Houston Texas. Working in management
while instructing as a consultant and team building instructor with Farouk
Systems they offered her to move closer to the west coast. This was a
traveling position. She accepted and chose Denver, Colorado. Many of her
vacations were spent here. She moved in 2001. After working for with Farouk for 7 years traveling the United States teaching and speaking for them, she
resigned in 2002.
When – Demi's
business started in Colorado in 2002. She worked with weddings in town and abroad. Most of Demi's time is spent with
clients in her skincare studio. She was known for makeup, eyelash
work and special hair styling in St. Louis. "I learned my craft from
everyone around me, professionals at shows from all over the world. It
can be said, I was the lucky one." As education is a constant work in
progress, her speed came with understanding different hair textures and skin
types over time. The creativity starts by listening to a person’s vision
of themselves. Demi started in this field in 1994; it has carried her in
front of many faces and taken to many places. She built a name in Denver as an
Eye Lash Extension
Instructor starting in 2006 with Lavish Lashes LLC. then resigning in 2008.
"Skincare is a self motivated passion as my own
skin is very sensitive. I learned many
of my treatments while working as a Medical Esthetician in physician facilities. The relaxation potion created to enhance my treatments
was through my years of training in Reiki.
I completed my Master position in 2002. I enjoy taking care of other people and their needs."
